Douglas and Graeme have been working together on various software development projects since 1984. In 1995 when there was a danger of falling into the trap of becoming managers, they formed Black and Woods Consulting Ltd so that they could maintain a technical focus.

Since then the company has worked with the Unisys Corporation in creating application development tools and in particular the Enterprise Application Environment and more recently the Agile Business Suite.

We have been involved in all areas of software development including management of large and small teams and projects, end to end project development, system design implementation, testing and maintenance, as well as software quality initiatives such as IS09001 and SEI CMMI.

A major interest for us has been Microsoft Windows development, beginning with Windows version 2.04 in 1989. Currently we are immersed in Silverlight and Windows Phone 7 development.
